Honeymoon Diary: Jonah's Palm Beach
Jeremy and I got married on December 9th, 2016. Since we live in New York City, not only were we so excited to come home for our wedding but we were also looking forward to some very much needed respite from our busy jobs and the claws of winter.
We knew early on that we wanted a relaxing, sunny and luxurious honeymoon as opposed to a sight seeing heavy holiday that we normally opt for.
However, we also had a lot of friends and family in town so didn't necessarily want to be far from them since we live overseas and Christmas was just around the corner.
The Solution was easy! We booked a week at Jonah's restaurant and boutique hotel in Palm Beach, NSW. We had heard countless times how divine it was and it lived up to every glowing recommendation.
The rooms are so relaxing and are all overlooking the ocean. At night the moon was unbelievable and during the day we could relax on our balcony or head into the infinity pool if we weren't up for walking down to the beach.
The view is so spectacular from every part of Jonah's. I believe they host weddings (max 122 people) on the lawn too for those who are interested!
Since every day was equal parts poolside versus glamour bar lounging my wardrobe consisted of chic Solid and Striped bikinis, oversized Karen Walker sunglasses and exclusively Reformation floral dresses. Perfect for meandering from part of the resort to the other.
When dining in their restaurant, its hard to believe your own luck! Its a beautiful white space with an outdoor sitting area and indoors is a modern chic setting for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The menu too is something to rave about. The fresh ingredients made me so happy to be back in Australia!
I would certainly recommend this to anyone who lives anywhere in the world. Its a truly special experience.
