Accessorise with shoes and bags in light tones.

This bit of advice is crucial so take careful note.  Unless it's a black tie wedding It's really important that you don't add anything darker to the look as black dresses are widely associated with being "sexy" and in a wedding that is considered innapropriate.  By choosing accessories that feel fresh and lighter in tone you autmotcially diminish the overt sexiness. Expert tip: You can't go wrong with nudes to copliment black.

Add fashionable details to modernize the look.

Wearing bolder pieces can again diminish the overt sexiness but still oomph the chicness. Our pick is opt for chunky earrings with a large ring so that the wrist and neckline stay exposed adding an extra layer of femininity to your look.
